Bringing Sports Physiotherapy into the Pilates studio

Pilates for High Performance Athletes explores how Pilates can be used to address the later stage rehabilitation goals following sports injuries and progression towards athletic development.

Over two-days, we will explore the role of Pilates in managing common sports injuries and using current evidence, consensus statements and models of rehabilitation we will discuss variations of common Pilates exercises to better facilitate athletic development.

This RTR Pilates Level 2 course is suitable for clinicians currently teaching Pilates to an athletic population or those aiming to expand their athletic Pilates repertoire. All health professionals, students and new graduates with some prior Pilates experience are welcome to attend.

For those with no prior Pilates experience, attending the Pilates Essentials for Physiotherapists course (RTR Pilates Level 1) is recommend.

This course is suitable for both clinicians currently teaching Pilates who are seeking to reboot and extend their repertoire, as well as those seeking an introduction to the use of Pilates for rehabilitation. All health professionals, students and new graduates are welcome to attend.

This Level 1 course is suitable for clinicians with no prior formal Pilates training or those wishing to gain further insight into use of Pilates in rehabilitation.
